COBBLE HILL TOWNHOUSE

This transformative gut renovation of a Brooklyn townhome required significant changes, opening up spaces and bringing in light and a streamlined flow throughout. Working closely with the client—a young couple, working in tech and creative fields—BLA focused on creating functional, warm, light filled, and simple designs that are both innovative and unpretentious, while also energy efficient and environmentally thoughtful.

The main floor centers around a floor-through kitchen, dining area, with a newly created solarium leading out to a redesigned garden, creating an inside/outside sensibility. With a focus on refined craftsmanship, the custom cabinets and shelves run the length of the room, using natural materials, white oak is accented with subtle forest green and yellow accents.
